Houses at Christ Church

At Christ Church School we operate a House system. This means that every child is allocated a House to which they belong for the duration of their time in school. We thought very carefully about what to name our houses after and decided to name them after Cathedrals.

There are four Houses (with their house colour):

St Alban’s (Yellow)

Canterbury (Blue)

Salisbury (Green)

York (Red)

Our House system helps to encourage friendships and responsibility. It encourages our children to develop skills such as cooperation, working as a team, perseverance and diligence.

Each of the Houses has an elected Year 6 House Captain who represents the Houses on the School’s Council and is responsible for counting up the House Points weekly and overseeing tasks for the House.

There are planned events for the Houses such as House Breakfasts, competitions and trips.
