Cave Paintings

This week year 3 have started their new topic on The Stone Age. This morning they have looked at Stone Age cave paintingsh and created their own artwork of Stone Age animals using chalks and pastels.

Nature Crowns

Year 1 (and a few surprise helpers from Year 6) made nature crowns in Forest School this afternoon. They all had great fun and created fantastic crowns!

Year 4 Potters

We have studied Shoji Hamada pots and created designs for our pots. Today we used the clay to create our pots.

Japanese Art work inspired by Hokusai

Year 3 have created some amazing artwork based on the Japanese artist Hokusai’s ‘Great Wave’ picture. The children have used watercolours to show the many colours of the sea. The paintings look fantastic on display in the Y3 classroom.

Enjoying the sunshine ☀️

Spring sunshine means more outdoor lessons! ON Monday year 2 enjoyed an Art lesson outside. They were painting watercolour Spring artworks to send to our PenPal class in Australia! ☀️🐨✈️

Y2 gardening

Year 2 are busy growing carrots, runner beans and cress! Cups will be sent home over the Easter holidays and we are hoping to see a transformation after 2 weeks of at home care. 🙂 garden snail friends Even our reading corner has hanging recycled bottle planters growing salas leaves!
