On Tuesday the choir traveled down to the Royal Albert Hall to participate in Prom Praise for Schools. We had a rehearsal with all of the other participating schools (there were 64 schools from as far afield as Sevenoaks, Leighton Buzzard and Chorley Wood), the All Souls Orchestra and other performers first and then the concert started at 6pm. The programme included classical music, drama, dance and rapping as well as the 6 songs which all of the schools had learnt all around the central story of Moses and the Exodus. There were also inflatable crocodiles, a turtle and a dinghy which were “crowd-surfed” around the auditorium and an attempt at a Mexican wave using light reflecting card to illustrate the parting of the Red Sea!
A great experience in an amazing venue – we’re already looking forward to the next PP4S in 2021.
