Y3 Trip to The Chiltern Open Air Museum

Y3 Trip to The Chiltern Open Air Museum

Year 3 enjoyed a fantastic day at the Open Air Museum on Monday. They started the day with a  Stone Age workshop where they learnt what it would have been like living in the Stone Age, they had the opportunity to make a their own fire, build a shelter, reinact hunting for food and make Stone Age jewellery.

In the afternoon the children took part in an Archaeological Dig Workshop where they learnt about how and where artefacts are found and how historians put information together from small clues like items of clothing, pottery and jewellery to paint a picture of what life might have been like in history.
